Coexisting single-particle excitations and octupole correlations in the transitional nucleus <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mmultiscripts><mml:mi>Ra</mml:mi><mml:mprescripts /><mml:none /><mml:mn>217</mml:mn></mml:mmultiscripts></mml:math>

چکیده

The level structure of the transitional nucleus $\mathrm{^{217}Ra}$ has been extended with addition around 20 new transitions. discrepancies between placements several transitions reported in earlier studies are resolved. newly-established negative-parity sequence at low excitation energies hints expected parity-doublet structures this nucleus. properties observed simplex bands compared that similar neighboring nuclei. Since presence reflect octupole correlations, theoretical calculations using reflection-asymmetric triaxial particle rotor model (RAT-PRM) have performed. A comparison features predictions RAT-PRM suggests exhibits an intermediate behavior extremes spherical and octupole-deformed termination lying above dominance single-particle excitations higher energies.
